'bodies' forms one of my three main research spheres: 'space', 'bodies' and 'time'.
i'm interested in the body itself and its limits, in bodily interaction and body movement in space and time.
where does my body begin and where does it end? where, when and how do i feel my individual space? and where, when and how are we in collective space? etc.
'space' forms one of my three main research spheres: 'space', 'bodies' and 'time'.
with my architectural background, i am fascinated by all kinds of spaces and love to think and create space.
during all these exciting architectural design and construction processes, i like to question the role of an architect in this current, fast-moving world.
what is actually the origin, the idea and the responsibility of being an architect? how can we design valuable, meaningful spaces? etc.
'time' forms one of my three main research spheres: 'space', 'bodies' and 'time'.
in my consideration, everything is time-related.
i wonder: what is a 'sense of time'? how can we manipulate our sense of time? how can we strenghten our spatiotemporal awareness? etc.

what is atmosphere?
how is atmosphere defined?
why and for what does atmosphere exist?
is atmosphere already there or is it created?
who or what does create atmosphere?
how is atmosphere created?
how does movement influence the atmosphere?
why is performance ephemeral architecture?
definitions, spatial perception, the ephemeral, etc.
the constant and ephemeral, individual perception and its context, etc.
what shapes the atmosphere in my environment? how does atmosphere change over time?

what is silence and stillness?
how are silence and/or stillness defined?
when does silence/stillness exist?
where does it come from?
what does silence/stillness lead to?
what is silence/stillness needed for?
how and when do we perceive silence/stillness?
how can silence/stillness be provoked/created?
does silence mean the absence of noises or movement?
how are presence and absence connected?
does movement sound? what happens when there is no sound?
the constant and ephemeral, individual perception and its context, etc.
does silence mean the absence of noises or movement?
how are presence and absence connected?
in architectural language usage, the terms 'private, semi-public and public' exist.
also in living spaces. but can living spaces be public?
"Innerhalb des Öffentlichen erscheint das Private als ein Eingegrenztes und Eingezäuntes, und die Pflicht des öffentlichen Gemeinwesens ist es, diese Zäune und Grenzen zu wahren, welche das Eigentum und Eigenste eines Bürgers von dem seines Nachbarn trennen und gegen ihn sicherstellen."
Hannah Arendt, in "Der Raum des Öffentlichen und der Bereich des Privaten"
The background was a study on 'media space' as communicative space.
In this project - in this 'media space' - the human body communicates a message:
(translated) „We all turned into grey figures, who adjust the standard to help from standing out in the crowd.“ - anonymous, source: abtoern.blogspot.com
Who were we, if we wouldn‘t have to follow any rules or fit into any social frame?
In this performance the dancer embodies the development of different personalities in their individual and collective space with and without social influence.

where does our individual space starts and where does it end?
how do we perceive personal borders?
how do we perceive privacy?
how do we move in private space?
do we move differently in collective spaces than in private spaces?
what factors are essential to explain movement in space?
"Mir war ein Buch von Elie Faure (...) in die Hände gefallen, wo es um Velazquez ging, und gleich am Anfang hieß
es da, dass er (...) die Dinge zwischen den Dingen gemalt hätte. (...) was zwischen den Dingen ist, und nicht die
Dinge selbst, was zwischen einem selbst und einem anderen ist, zwischen dir und mir (...)"
Jean-Luc Godard
